About

I’m Javier, a software engineer and deep learning enthusiast. I enjoy turning hard problems into working software — from training and comparing neural networks, to building physics simulations, to wrangling real-world datasets into clear, honest visualizations.

This site collects a selection of my projects. Each one links to a write-up and, where available, a live demo or the source code.

What I work with

  • Machine learning & deep learning: neural networks (from scratch and with frameworks), computer vision, neural style transfer, TensorFlow.
  • Data analysis & visualization: Python, pandas, and notebook-driven analysis of economic and climate datasets.
  • Software & simulations: Scala / Scala.js, algorithms (e.g. the Barnes-Hut O(n log n) N-body approximation), and building things end to end.
